Kintsugi

$100-

Kintsugi is a Japanese art form that involves repairing broken pottery with urushi lacquer and powdered gold and/or silver, embracing the cracks as part of an object’s story rather than hiding them. It is a philosophy that values restoration over replacement, finding beauty in imperfection. I offer traditional kintsugi repair services to give new life to your cherished ceramics—each piece returned with its history made visible and honored. Trained in traditional kintsugi in Kyoto, I bring skilled and authentic restoration to each piece. Consultation is required. Prices start at $100 and increase according to the complexity of the repair.

CeRamic commissions

$20-

Looking for something uniquely yours? I offer handmade ceramic tableware commissions that have been carefully crafted, designed for daily use, and tailored to your style, space, or special occasion. Consultation is required. Prices start at $20 and increase according to complexity and desired materials.

About

This functional pottery centers on mindful use, sustainable practices, and long-term value. Designed for daily use, each piece serves a purpose without contributing to the cycle of waste and overconsumption, thanks to a thoughtful process of creation and curation.

The process of working with clay demands patience, attention, and intention—qualities that act as a counterbalance to the fast pace of consumer culture. Rather than prioritizing convenience or trends, the work emphasizes simplicity, durability, and longevity.

Rooted in traditional craft techniques that have endured over time, this practice is less about nostalgia and more about embracing practical, sustainable methods for working with natural materials. The long-term aim is to minimize waste in the studio and incorporate locally sourced materials whenever possible.

Rather than making a bold statement, the work offers quiet alternatives—objects that encourage a slower, more considered approach to daily living.
